To kick off the basketball season, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee is hosting Monday Night Madness in the Lahue PE Center on Monday, Nov. 18.

The event is expected to begin around 8:30 or 9 p.m., following the final round of Nazzy Idol. The person crowned the winner of the singing competition will have the chance to sing the national anthem at the beginning of Monday Night Madness.

At the pep rally, captains for the men’s and women’s basketball teams will let the student body know what their goals are for the year.

The event will also include a dunk contest, half court shot contest, T-Shirt giveaways, and rehearsing team cheers.

The men’s and women’s basketball teams began their seasons on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Both teams play their first home games on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Women’s basketball will play Framingham State at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s basketball team’s matchup against Suffolk at 7 p.m.
