[wzslider autoplay=”true” info=”true”]The 2013 Warren Business Forum was held on Nov. 12 for business students and local business owners from the greater Boston area.
The event is held annually in memory of the late John Warren, founder of the Warren Lightning Rod Company of Collingswood, N.J. Warren believed that individuals are called into the business world as well as into ministry.
The night began with students and faculty intermingling with local business partners and owners, giving everyone a chance to network with one other.
“Talking to the people at my table taught me that hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard. The only way to truly know success is to know failure,” senior Melanie Green said.
Senior business major Raymond Cheung emceed for the evening.
“Getting the opportunity to serve as the emcee of the forum was a lot of fun,” Cheung said. “At the end of the day, it was awesome to see the hard work put in by many sets of hands.”
While learning from different business owners, attendees also enjoyed the special food being served. From the flat iron steak to the chocolate mousse pie, the menu took a lot of planning.
“All the entrees were prepared by my chefs,” Food Service Director Rick Harmon said.
