The end of the semester can be a stressful time for students. Final projects pile up and studying for finals becomes hectic. Here are a few tips to help prepare you for the final stretch of the semester.

1. Sleep: It’s not uncommon for students to pull all-nighters in order to get all of their work done. This will only result in over-exhaustion on the day of the test, which will not help you perform to the best of your abilities. Start preparing ahead of time to make sure you can get at least 7-8 hours of sleep the night before your exam.

2. Review old quizzes: This strategy is most useful for cumulative exams. It will help refresh your memory on the big themes of each unit. Then, you will also know what areas you may need to spend some extra time on.

3. Plan downtime: It’s easy to get swamped with all of the work and forget to make time for yourself. Build free time into your schedule so you can mentally recover. Then, you will be able to walk into those exams refreshed and ready.

4. Don’t procrastinate: The biggest temptation for students is to put aside their work, but that doesn’t mean the work will go away. It’s better to plan ahead so you don’t find yourself exhausted from playing catch-up with your work.
