The ANDA Knowing Portugal program, which takes young people to travel by train and spend the night in Youth Hostels across the country, has expanded the age range of candidates for this intrarail with travel and accommodation included. Now, any young person between the ages of 18 and 30 will be able to travel around Portugal for free for seven days.
O ANDA Discover Portugaldeveloped by Movy, the cooperative that manages the Youth Card and Youth Hostels, in partnership with CP (Comboios de Portugal), began last year, allowing, until now, young people who had completed secondary education (12th year) to sign up to win a voucher of six days traveling and sleeping across the Portuguese mainland.
With the expansion of the initiative to older young people, Movy intends to “open even more doors to young mobility […] in an accessible and inclusive way for Portuguese youth”, as read in the statement sent to newsrooms. “The expectation is that this step represents a significant growth in the number of participants and the positive impact of the program”, says Bruno Martins, president of Movy, in a statement.

In order to “contribute to territorial cohesion and reduce socioeconomic barriers in access to mobility and youth tourism”, student associations and youth associations registered in the National Register of Young Associations (RNAJ) will also be able to access the program with the aim of carrying out training, sporting or leisure activities at no cost to the young participants.
The access voucher to ANDA Celebrity Portugal must be redeemed by young people or associations by December 31, 2025 and can be used until July 4, 2026.
To participate in the program, you must access the website ANDA Discover Portugalauthenticate yourself using the Digital Mobile Key, fill in your personal details (e-mail and mobile phone number) and request the voucher, which will be sent via email.
The program extends to all residents in Portugal. However, citizens of the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira will have to travel to the mainland to participate.
