Mexico City. – During the last days the government of Javier Lopez Casarin in the mayor’s office Alvaro Obregon, reported that his administration managed to position itself as the district that has the least amount of pothole reports on the platform of the Unified Citizen Assistance System (SUAC), although the same site indicates that the territory governed by the Morenista continues as one of the municipalities with the most complaints about the poor state of the roads, in addition to revealing the low level of attention.
The SUAC is the digital tool through which citizens can report and request public services from the authorities. Regarding the concept of potholes, it states that in the last three months the population has entered 857 pages on the platform for the repair of potholes, of which, between the mayor’s office Alvaro Obregon and the Secretariat of Works and Services (Sobse) headed by Raúl Basulto, only 36.4 percent have been attended to and there are still 63.6 cases pending repair.
At the capital level, it is the fourth mayor’s office that between July and October has received the most reports of cases in which patching work is needed. This situation has been maintained since January 1, 2025, as it reaches the figure of 2,535 points reported as places with potholes. Of the total number in the SUAC this 2025, the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office still has to attend to 31.4 percent of the cases.
The statement that Álvaro Obregón is the district with the lowest incidence of reports of potholes was announced by Councilor López Casarín after supervising the work in the Las Golondrinas neighborhood on Lomas de Capula Avenue. Despite SUAC data that reveal a delay in patching, the Morenista stressed that the work is joint with Sobse with a permanent program to address streets and avenues in poor condition.
