Civil Protection authorities recommended nearby residents close doors and windows, and avoid staying in the vicinity to reduce exposure to smoke.
So far, dozens of people have been evacuated and the operation to control the incident continues. No victims reported.

Neighbors pointed out that the factory had already had similar incidents, so they asked to review its safety conditions and reinforce prevention measures.

Fire chief “Vulcano” Cova reported 60 percent progress in extinguishing the fire.
