Ámbito Cultural celebrates World Poetry Day with a verse day at Thyssen and the Botanical Gardens

There is no other celebration on the calendar. When UNESCO decided to celebrate in 1999 World Poetry Day On March 21, I was fully focused on reactivating the oral tradition of poetry recitals.

Six years have passed since the Ámbito Cultural convened the first edition of the Premio Nacional de Poesía Viva #LdeLírica, defending poetry inside and outside the book and all its convergences with the rest of art.

Compliance with the UNESCO compromise, which is also reflected in the #LdeLírica cycle, which is coordinated a year longer for these years Gonzalo Escarpa joined Ámbito Cultural y La Piscifactoría. There are two days ahead of us in which we will be able to enjoy fascinating verses in the mouth of first-line poets, such as the latest Loewe Poetry Prize winner Hugo Mujica. All this in such symbolic places of the capital as the Botanical Garden and the Thyssen Museum.

These are all the activities planned for this poetry festival:

Come March 20th

7:30 p.m.: The celebration of World Poetry Day continues with an extraordinary edition of #LdeLírica, which returns to Gonzalo Escarpa with singer-songwriter Amancio Prada.

Amancio Prada, a singer-songwriter and performer with a wide range, has worked on texts by authors such as Rosalía de Castro, San Juan de la Cruz, Federico García Lorca or Agustín García Calvo, he articulates a constant dialogue between tradition and the present.

In this meeting, Amancio Prada converses with Gonzalo Escarpa and shares his experiences, his vision of poetry and some of his songs.

Saturday, March 21

Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For the second year in a row, 21 poets come to the Thyssen Museum to return to its rooms with various verses and memorabilia.

In this edition, the celebration will count on the participation of Massiel, who will be the prayer and godfather of the words spoken live.

The 21 invited authors are: Alain Uceda, Alicia Louzao, Amaury Muro, Ángel Solo, Arturo Martí, Bernard Engel, Bruno Lastra, Carolina Muñoz, Charo Fierro, Emilia Conejo, Javier Lostalé, José Félix Valdivieso, Marga Clark, María Pastor, Rablo González Novo, P. Vázquez, Rosa Navarro, Sebastián Fiorilli and Verónica Aranda.

Botanical garden from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. After traveling through the different spaces of the Thyssen Museum, this year the itinerary is rounded off with a visit to a real botanical garden in the center of Madrid, culminating in a celebration of spring and poetry with a three-voice recital.

He participated in the last Loewe Poetry Prize, Hugo Mujicapoet, playwright and director Pablo Rosal and Gonzalo Escarpa, who will act as host.

Applications for the World Poetry Day recital at the Thyssen Museum must be welcomed by every visitor. A reduced entrance fee will be applied to enter the Botanical Gardens upon presentation of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum ticket.

Homenaje and Rob. 7:30 p.m Celebrate World Poetry Day with a special #LdeLírica dedicated Rob Iniestathe creator of verse one of his most personal territories.

Gonzalo Escarpa y Gonzalo Hormigopoet and musicologist, I returned them to a home focused on their literary face in February between their mistakes at the end of last year. In this new session, they will rehearse the lyrics of their records in solitude and will be described in the character of Robe as a poet.

The day will close with a concert of versions of their songs by singer and composer Gonzalo Hormigo, singer and songwriter Natalie Vega, multidisciplinary artist La Chiado, music creator Julie Bamboleira, young artist Arisa Vedra, guitarist Bucera and singer, songwriter and guitarist Eva Calero.
