With three goals from Armando González and one from Luis Romo, the Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara defeated Atlas 4 goals to 1 at the Akron Stadium, as part of the matches on matchday 15 of the 2025 Apertura Tournament.
Armando González showed all the hunger for goals that a big team center forward requires. He “ate” the red-and-black. He advanced the mark. It rose. He connected with a header. He sent the round to the bottom. The stands exploded with Chivas’ early 1-0 lead. Then the red and white party began.

The red and white team took over the Clásico Tapatío and for the second goal Santiago Sandoval opened from the right for Luis Romo, who put in a low cross. Matheus Doria swept to reject.
The round was left to Luis Romo himself, who defined just through the gap that existed and sent the Sacred Flock to the bottom 2-0. At minute 27, the stands exploded once again.
At ’29, Rubén González looked up and launched a great serve behind the defenders’ backs. Roberto Alvarado was looking for the ball. Camilo Vargas came out to catch it from above. It was the red and black Sergio Hernández who touched the header. The ball went towards his own goal.

Second half
At the beginning of the second half, Adrián Mora rose on a free kick and connected with a header that hit the post. Raúl Rangel stretched out with both hands and managed to deflect a corner kick that Tala saved, to save the Sacred Flock.
Despite the effort, Chivas continued to press and Roberto Alvarado enabled it with a great touch. Armando González arrived sweeping before the departure of Camilo Vargas. He touched softly and over the goalkeeper. The ball hit the post and then crossed the line and ended up in the bottom. Guadalajara made it 4-0 at minute 50 and left Atlas without a chance.
In search of the goal of honor, Atlas tried to reach the rival goal and Matheus Doria launched a frontal pass. The Serbian Djuka started first and set up Mateo García, who entered the area unmarked and confronted goalkeeper Raúl Rangel.

The red-and-black defined with a left-footed shot, crossed and low, that surpassed the goalkeeper to nestle in the nets. Thus, at minute 62, the Foxes made it 4-1.
With this result, Chivas de Guadalajara reaches sixth position in the table with 26 points and remains in the league zone, while Atlas is left out in 11th place with only 16 points. Two days before the end of the regular season.
