The October Museum Night It’s just around the corner. This penultimate edition of 2025, the tenth of the year, is one of the most anticipated due to the celebrations that involve the Day of the Dead.
This time, that is, this Wednesday, October 29, dozens of cultural venues will open their doors with extended hours to offer an experience full of art, music, science and community.

Like every month, this special night in the capital will take place under the auspices of the Secretary of Culture of Mexico Cityas well as each and every one of the participating museums, which on this occasion are joined by the Carrillo Gil Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art.
Attendees will be able to be part of a night full of culture, emotion and discoveries in this tenth Museum Night 2025in the month that unweaves our dead in all its splendor.
Despite anything, as always indicated by the capital’s Ministry of Culture: the most important thing is “to have a good time while you learn in different ways exploring the jewels that the Mexico City in each of its corners”.
Featured activities of Museum Night
This October 29, 2025, all attendees will be able to take part in the dozens of activities that more than 80 cultural venues in CDMX will offer.
At the Museum of the Palace of Fine Arts, guided tours of the exhibition will be offered starting at 7:00 p.m. Lilia Carrillo. Everything is suggestiveaccompanied by the Possible Worlds workshop, which invites young audiences to “make the invisible visible” through abstract drawing sessions.
Likewise, the Carrillo Gil Art Museum will open at 7:00 p.m. Day of the Dead offeringdedicated to the memory of the painter Gunther Gerzso.
The National Museum of Art joins in, which this time organizes the guided tour Mexican art of the 20th centuryat 7:00 p.m., with the expert Eduardo Ysita. Later, at 7:30 p.m., the public will be able to witness three short puppet theater plays about the Day of the Dead and a monologue about Catrina, by the group Cucuruchitos.
On the other hand, the Tamayo Museum will offer tours of its temporary exhibitions at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.: Alien Queen / Strange Paradise from the Mexican Manuela Solano; Spirits in the swamp by the Colombian Óscar Murillo; and Archaic Futuresa collective of modern and contemporary artists inspired by the archaic, the cosmic and the mythological.

Also, the Museum of Modern Art will hold a Sculptural evening with evening picnic and tour of the Sculpture Garden, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Interested people may bring food, although it is necessary to register in advance at educativos@mam.org.mx.
The Diego Rivera Mural Museum will host the round table at 6:30 p.m. The decisive thing: photographers in the face of the 1985 earthquakeswith the participation of Carlos Contreras de Oteyza, Gloria Frausto, Bob Schalkwijk and Enrique Villaseñor, moderated by Irving Domínguez. You can also visit the Day of the Dead offering. Hand in hand with Catrina.
Finally, at the Ex Teresa Arte Actual, at 7:00 p.m., the Vórtice Ensamble will perform performing the work Patron Saint of performancepart of the documentary series Songs About Buildings and Moodsabout architecture and music.
