“The prime minister and I have ordered Tsahal (the Israeli army) to immediately destroy all bridges over the Litani River that are used for terrorist activities, in order to prevent the passage (…) of Hezbollah and of weapons to the south,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Sunday.

The minister added that the army must “accelerate the destruction of Lebanese houses in contact villages,” just as was done in “Beit Hanun and Rafah“, in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army already announced on Wednesday that it had destroyed two bridges over the Litani River, which runs through southern Lebanon about thirty kilometers from the border with Israel, within the framework of its offensive against the pro-Iranian Hezbollah movement.
