The vice president of United States, J.D. Vancestated that conversations with Iran failed to reach an agreementand stated that he was abandoning Islamabadcapital of Pakistan, after submitting a “best and final offer”.
Vance hinted that he was still giving Iran time to consider the offer from the United States, which announced on Tuesday that it would suspend attacks on Israel for two weeks pending negotiations.
“We are leaving here with a very simple proposal, a method of understanding that is our final and best offer. We will see if the Iranians accept it,” Vance told reporters after 9 p.m. of conversations in the Pakistani capital.

Nuclear weapons, main dispute between EU and Iran
Vance stated that the main dispute revolved around the nuclear weapons. Iran insists it is not developing a atomic bomband the United States and Israel bombed strategic Iranian targets both in the war that began on February 28 like last year.
“The truth is that we need to see a firm commitment that they will not pursue a nuclear weapon or the tools that would allow them to obtain one quickly,” Vance said.
“The question is simple: Do we see a fundamental commitment of will on the part of the Iranians not to develop a nuclear weapon, not just now, not just two years from now, but in the long term? We haven’t seen it yet. We hope to see it soon,” he added.
Vance, in brief remarks at a luxury hotel in Islamabad where both sides have been meeting, did not emphasize the disagreement over another key issue: the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow passage through which a fifth of the world’s oil transits.
