Sword Health, a Portuguese unicorn, carried out a private sale of shares held by workers, which allowed them to raise 54 million dollars (about 46.5 million euros).
The initiative, shared by the company in a statement, involved 205 current and former employees in Portugalbeing the second time that Sword Health has promoted this type of sale, which also included workers in the USA.
The first sale, in June last year, generated 55 million dollars (approximately 51 million euros) among Portuguese employees alone, but including the USA, the total was 100 million dollars.
For this year, 40 million dollars were raised by the 205 participants in Portugal, with 82 people in the USA contributing to the total.
Since the beginning of private sales, the company has already raised a total of 200 million dollars.
On the same note, the CEO, Virgílio Bento, highlighted that the objective is to recognize the talent of employees and create generational wealth in Portugal, promoting annual share sale events.
Remember that Sword Health achieved unicorn status, that is, with a valuation of over one billion dollars, in November 2021.
