The Judiciary Police (PJ) will have a budget of 305 million euros, with the first objective of “combating the most serious and complex crime”, with the indicator used being the number of operations carried out. The Government intends reinforce the PJ’s tactical and operational resources, with the acquisition of weapons, ammunition, equipment and vehicles.

Other investments are in the technological area, with a “focus on AI and quantum computing”, through the acquisition of servers and equipments, “implementing innovative solutions to mitigate or neutralize the risk of cyber threats”. One of the indicators used will be the number of PJ professionals trained to operate artificial intelligence tools.

In the forensic area, the Ministry of Justice intends to “modernize the PJ’s forensic laboratory activity”, with the purchase and implementation of “innovative decryption solutions”. Another goal is to increase the effectiveness of criminal investigations.

The fight against corruption is described as one of the main objectives, with an increase in the effectiveness of investigations related to corruption crimes and reducing the incidence of money laundering. It is still intended to “increase transparency in public institutions”.
