A total of 200 American soldiers have begun to arrive in Israel to support and monitor the US president’s agreement, Donald Trumpsigned by Israel and Hamas on Thursday.

The soldiers have arrived from the US but also from other bases that the US Army has in the Middle East, all with the aim of establishing a “coordination center” that will supervise the implementation of the ceasefire in Gazaaccording to two officials consulted by ABC News.

For this reason, the soldiers transferred to the area are specialized in transportation, planning, logistics, security and engineeringand will work together with representatives from other countries, the private sector and non-governmental organizations.

The arrival of troops is part of the peace agreement negotiated by Israel and Hamas this week, which established that these forces would help create the coordination center.

The security guarantees are still a mystery, since when the pact was announced, Trump avoided offering details about the security guarantees that his country will provide: “We will work with very rich countries to make Gaza the best it can be.”
