Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that Donald Trump is “the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House”, with those present in the Knesset responding “Trump, Trump, Trump”.

“Welcome to Israel on this exciting day that will be marked in the history of our people and you will also be marked in the history of our people and in the annals of humanity”said Netanyahu, thanking everything the American president did for his country.

“Mr. President, you are committed to this peace. I am committed to this peace and together, Mr President, we will achieve this peace”he added.

A peace that “ends the war by achieving all our objectives”, says the Israeli prime minister, explaining that the proposal designed by Trump “opens the door to a historic expansion of peace in the region and beyond the region”.

Netanyahu remembers the “heroes” who died during the war, the soldiers who fought in the Gaza Strip, as well as the injured.

“We paid a heavy price in war, but our enemies understand how powerful Israel is and that the October 7th attack was a catastrophic mistake”he said.

“I have never seen anyone move the world so quickly, so decisively, so resolutely, as our friend Donald J. Trump,” said Netanyahu in his speech, remembering that he has seen many US presidents because he has been in power for a long time.

“The last two years have been a period of war. I hope the next few years will be a period of peace,” these Netanyahu. “I believe that with President Trump’s leadership, this will happen much more quickly than people realize. As Prime Minister of Israel, I extend my hand to support those who seek peace with us.”

Netanyahu also announces that he proposed Trump to receive the State of Israel’s highest award (the Israel Prize), saying that he will be the first foreigner to receive it. And he also said that “the other prize” (referring to the Nobel Peace Prize), Trump will also end up receiving it.
