Mexico City, October 15 (However).- A student second grade died this Wednesday within the Technical Secondary School Number 70 “Esteban Baca Calderón”in the Iztapalapa Mayor’s Officewhich caused an immediate mobilization of the authorities and the suspension of school activities.

According to preliminary reports, the student fainted around 8:10 a.m. while in class. Teachers and directors requested medical support, and staff from the Medical Emergency Regulatory Center (CRUM) confirmed the death at the scene.

“The CRUM 692 medical unit arrives, giving the diagnosis of clinical death,” detailed agents from the Teotongo sector.

The area was guarded by security elements while experts carried out the first procedures, and parents arrived at the campus to pick up their children and demand information from the school authorities and the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJ-CdMx).

The Federal Educational Authority in Mexico City (AEFCM) reported that a timely follow-up of the case is being carried out and reiterated its willingness to collaborate with the corresponding authorities.

“Mothers, fathers and families are informed that today’s school activities are suspended,” he announced in an information card.

The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) and the AEFCM expressed their solidarity with the student’s family, and reaffirmed their commitment to the safety, integrity and well-being of the students in all educational establishments in Mexico City.
