The Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrilloreported that, following the instructions of the President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardoand in coordination with the educational authorities of Hidalgo, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro and Veracruz, the Education Servers brigades carry out inspections and collect information in all affected educational establishments.

With this action, he assured, precise data will be obtained that will allow intervention and rehabilitation, school by school, to guarantee that girls, boys, adolescents and young people return to classes in safe conditions, as instructed by the head of the federal Executive.

In meeting with National Institute of Educational Physical Infrastructure (Inifed), Agroasemex and the heads of Education of Hidalgo, Natividad Castrejón Valdez; from Puebla, Manuel Viveros Narciso; from San Luis Potosí, Juan Carlos Torres Cedillo; from Querétaro, Martha Soto Obregón, and from Veracruz, Claudia Tello Espinosa, pointed out that the SEP, through Inifed, carries out a detailed technical evaluation in each school to determine the level of damage – mild, moderate or serious -, in order to guarantee the safety of students, teachers and education support personnel.

He explained that the brigades will visit all the affected schools to lift photographic and technical reports to expedite repair processes and ensure adequate conditions for returning to classes, with the support of state educational authorities.

He pointed out that, in cases where there are moderate or serious damages, the information collected will be used for conciliation with the insurer Agroasemex, in order to determine the actions of reconstruction and replacement of equipment.

The head of the SEP stressed that the desilting, cleaning and disinfection work in schools with minor damages will be reimbursed by the insurer, so that school activities can resume as soon as possible.

He stressed that the priority of the Government of Mexico is protect the integrity of studentsteachers and teachers. For this reason, the SEP maintains permanent communication with local authorities to promptly monitor the situation, implement the necessary measures and restore educational normality in the different entities.

Finally, Mario Delgado Carrillo recognized the work of teachers and directors who have collaborated in the protection tasks, as well as the support of state and municipal authorities, reaffirming the commitment of the educational sector to the safety and well-being of school communities.
