A majestic pianist

Born in Moscow, she studied at the Escuela de Música Gnessin and the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater de Hamburg with maestro Evgeni Koroliov. In 2006 she was awarded at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig and in 2012 she won the first prize at the Géza Andy Competition in Zurich. Varvara is very interested in art in all its manifestations and has a wide repertoire that includes music of all periods.

He collaborates with highly prestigious orchestras such as the Mariinsky Theater, Tonhalle Orchester de Zürich, Radio-Symphonieorchester de Viena, SWR Sinfonieorchester, Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao, Orquesta Sinfónica de Valencia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galbeinlafón and others. He also collaborated with great masters such as Eliahu Inbal, Valery Gergiev, David Zinman, Cornelius Meister, Tamás Vásáry, Clemens Schuldt, Alexander Liebreich or Vladimir Fedoseyev.

Varvara developed an important activity as a recitalist at festivals and concert halls such as Lucerne Festival, Tonhalle Zürich, La Grange de Meslay, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Moscow Conservatory, Philharmonie Paris, Palau de la Música de Barcelona, ​​Le Corum Montpellier, Conservatorio Verdi Milan, Auditorio Lingotto Prague, Rudolf Mozart Theater, Auditorio Lingotto Lyon Turin Salzburg or Konzerthaus Dortmund.

Her enthusiasm for chamber music led her to form a stable duo with violinist Fumiaki Miura and a piano trio with cellist Jonathan Roozeman. They also enjoy working with the Schumann Quartet, the Borodin Quartet, the Cosmos Quartet and the Ludwig Trio.

Following his acclaimed recordings of Mozart and Handel (Dis:Camera), he appeared on an album recorded live at the Philharmonie de Paris dedicated to Liszt (Dis:Camera), as well as his critically acclaimed recording of the Goldberg Variations.
