Valerie Perrine dies, actress recorded for roles in ‘Superman’ or ‘Lenny’

In 1974, Perrine, who had learned about stories for films that included theatrical scenes, earned an Academy Award nomination for her writing in Bob Fosse’s Lenny, playing Honey Bruce, Lenny Bruce’s estranged actress, alongside Dustin Hoffman in the title role.
