Ben’s Original announces the recall of eight lots of three types of Ben’s Original rice: white long grain, whole grain and wild long grain, ready to eat due to the possible presence of small stones coming from the farm.
The recall report from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) details that the recall is due to the possible presence of small natural stones from rice plantations. These stones pose a possible risk of injury to the mouth or digestive tract if consumed.

The product was distributed to retailers such as Target, HEB, Amazon, United Markets and Piggly Wiggly between August and September. And it is not ruled out that it was also sold at Associated Grocers, C&S and Dot Foods. Consumers are urged to review the lot information to verify if it is a product subject to recall.

- Ben’s Original Ready Rice Wild Long Grain Rice: Lots 533BMGRV22, 533CLGRV22 and 533CMGRV22, with expiration date 8/2026. Distributed in United Markets, HEB, Amazon and Piggly Wiggly.
The company clarifies that the recall is exclusive for the eight lot codes and expiration dates that were indicated. It assures that they are taking measures to remove the affected products from the stores where they were shipped and notify consumers.
