At a time when the country is going through a critical stage, the city of New York is on the verge of fulfilling a very important civic day, where the course must be to send a message of democratic strength.
There is too much at stake to stay home and not go out to vote. We encourage those who can exercise this right to follow the example of more than 380,000 New Yorkers who have already cast their vote early.

This newspaper offers its support for democracy and leaves the voters free to choose the candidates they deem appropriate in these municipal primaries. We only hope that New Yorkers choose wisely. We hope that you have been well informed about the proposals and the direction that the city can take with the decision they make at the polls.
We remind our Latino voters that New York City has a ranked-choice voting system. They can choose up to 5 candidates in the order of preference they deem appropriate.
As a community, this is our opportunity to project the power we have. Let us not forget that we are a very important minority, and that with our contributions we make the city a more diverse and prosperous place.
Let’s vote!
