Greta Thunberg reveals ‘torturous’ Israeli captivity

WOKE warrior Greta Thunberg has painted a grim picture of her so-called five “torturous” days in Israeli custody.

The 22-year-old climate change zealot alleged beatings, humiliation and threats as guards mocked her, vandalised her belongings and even stamped on her trademark frog hat.

She was among 437 people detained after her Gaza-bound “Freedom Flotilla” – more than 40 boats carrying aid – was intercepted by Israeli forces in late September.

Thunberg and others were seized and held at Ketziot prison, a desert facility usually reserved for Palestinian security prisoners, before being deported to Greece last Monday.

Now back home in SwedenThunberg is portraying herself and fellow detainees as victims of degrading treatment from the moment armed troops stormed their boats.

“They pulled me to the ground and threw an Israeli flag over me,” she told local outlet Aftonbladet.

“They hit and kicked me.”

In her version of events, guards allegedly tore off her “Free Palestine” T-shirt, ripped away her frog hat and “kind of had a tantrum” as they stomped on it.

Her luggage was returned scrawled with an Israeli flag, a crude penis drawing and the words “Wh**e Greta.”

“They are like five-year-olds!” she said.

She alleged guards mocked her in Swedish — calling her “Lilla hora” (“little wh**e”) — and positioned a flag so that it brushed her face.

“They kicked me every time the flag touched my face,” she claimed.

According to Thunberg, she was zip-tied, forced to pose as guards took selfies, and made to drink from a tap “near” a toilet sink, where “something brown runs.”

Several detainees fell ill, she claimed, and many fainted after being crammed — around 60 of them — into a sun-baked outdoor cage.

“Then guards came and said, ‘We are going to gas you.’ They held up a gas cylinder and threatened to press it against us.”

She even alleged insects infested her isolation cell, and guards “kept walking in front of the bars, laughing and holding up their water bottles” as prisoners begged for water.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir reportedly visited the site in person, allegedly screaming at detainees: “You are terrorists. You want to kill Jewish babies.”

Thunberg claims he told her: “I will personally make sure that you are treated like a terrorist and that you rot in prison.”

Ben-Gvir has boasted of ordering harsh treatment for flotilla activists, telling Yedioth Ahronoth: “They should experience the conditions in Ketziot Prison and think twice before returning to Israel.”

Members of the Global Sumud Flotilla claimed Israeli troops “illegally intercepted” their journey – just hours after they were circled by a warship.

Israel expelled Thunberg and scores of fellow campaigners on Monday, many of whom complained of mistreatment at the hands of the Israeli authorities.

Israel has rejected these accusations and sought to brand the Global Sumud Flotilla an offshoot of Hamas.

It said the boats violated a prohibited zone and that little humanitarian aid was found on board the vessels.

Meanwhile, Thunberg was slammed and mocked for sharing  a picture of a starving Israeli hostage in her post about suffering Gazans.

She uploaded a photo of emaciated Israeli Evyatar David in a Hamas tunnel alongside images of Gazans with injuries and being manhandled by the IDF.

David, 24, with bones pushing through his skin, can be seen crouching down and writing on paper stuck to a wall.

He was reportedly being forced to cross off days on a calendar to track his days in captivity in the taunting video released by Hamas.

The post, shared by both Thunberg and the official flotilla page, read: “The suffering of Palestinian prisoners is not a matter of opinion – It is a fact of systemic cruelty and dehumanisation.

“Humanity cannot be selective. Justice cannot have borders.”

Israelis and other social media users were quick to spot the blunder, and blasted the eco warrior for her clear lack of diligence.
