The Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (Yamaha) was this Sunday, October 26th, ranked 19th in the Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix, 20th of the 22 rounds of the World Speed Motorcycling Championship, after a fall left him at the back of the field.
The driver from Almada, who crashed in the 11th of the 20 laps, crossed the finish line 1,17,942 minutes after the winner, Spaniard Alex Márquez (Ducati), who beat compatriot Pedro Acosta (KTM) by 2,676 seconds, with fellow Spaniard Joan Mir (Honda) in third, at 8,048.
Spaniard Marc Márquez (Ducati), absent due to injury, had already mathematically secured the title, leading with a 132 point advantage over his brother Alex Márquez, who, with this victory, the third of the year, assured Gresini first place in the independent teams classification.
The next race of the MotoGP World Championship, the penultimate of the season, will be held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA), in Portimão, on November 9th.
