2.1% growth in Services Production in the EU and Eurozone in 2025

Eurostat points this Friday, March 6, to a 2.1% increase in services production in 2025, both in the euro zone and in the European Union.

In relation to the month of December 2025, the indicator rose 0.7% in the euro area and 0.8% in the EU compared to the same period in 2024, and grew 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively, compared to November.

The bulletin does not include similar data for Portugal, but points out that the country recorded the second biggest drop in December (-2.6%).

Among Member States with annual data available, the biggest annual increases were in Lithuania (10.2%), Poland (10.0%) and Romania (7.8%), while the biggest drops occurred in Denmark (-16.6%), Luxembourg (-4.9%) and Estonia (-3.2%).

In the monthly comparison, the most significant advances were seen in Luxembourg (12.5%), Poland (5.7%) and Lithuania (2.6%) and the biggest drops were recorded in Bulgaria (-3.5%), Portugal (-2.6%) and Germany (-1.0%).
