This Sunday, April 5, a 20-year-old man was reported missing in the Idanha-a-Nova dam. It was 1:56 pm when a pre-drowning alert was given, according to information provided to the Lusa agency by a source from the Beira Baixa Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command (CSEPC).
There are nine divers at the site who are searching and rescuing the victim.
There are still 14 operational personnel and seven vehicles from the Idanha-a-Nova, Castelo Branco and Cernache do Bonjardim Fire Departments on the ground, as well as a GNR patrol.
