A 13-year-old Palestinian girl was killed by an Israeli gunshot while attending class

WORLD.- One Gazan girl 13 years old, identified as Ritaj Abdel Raouf Rihandied this Thursday after being shot by the Israeli Army when I attended class in a tent in the north of the Strip, reported the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

The minor was in a class in a makeshift tent but affiliated with the escuela Abu Ubaida Bin Al Yarrah in Beit Lahia (north of the enclave).

Witnesses claim that The shot came from a gun placed on a craneautomatic operation, in the area. The armed forces did not comment on the shooting.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) estimates that more than 2,000 minors have died in Israeli attacks since the offensive began in October 2023.

More than 630,000 children do not have stable access to normal in-person classes, according to OCHA, which estimates that 93% of schools in the Strip require total or majority reconstruction of their facilities.

In southern Gaza, another 33-year-old Palestinian killed by Israeli drone fire in the Mawasi area, northwest of the city of Rafah (southern tip of the Strip), according to the Nasser Hospital in the neighboring city of Khan Yunis.

The center identified the deceased as Yusef Jalil Ahmad Mansur.

More than 700 deaths since the ceasefire

In total, more than 72,000 people have died in Gaza from attacks by the Israeli Army since it launched its campaign against the enclave in retaliation for the attack by Gazan militias on October 7, 2023, in which they killed 1,200 people and kidnapped another 251 in Israeli territory.
