SAN FRANCISCO, California, USA—This Friday, a subject was arrested after attacking the Sam Altman residencyin Russian Hill de San Francisco, California, USA.
Information confirmed by the San Francisco Police Department indicates that, early today, the subject was arrested after he threw an incendiary device at the residence of Sam Altman, co-founder and CEO of OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT.
The attack left no people injured.

The attacker also made threats at the OpenAI headquarters in Mission Bay.
So far, it has not been confirmed whether Sam Altman or her husband, Oliver Mulherin, were at the residence at the time of the attack, as reported by Fox9.
For its part, NBX News reported that the San Francisco Police received the alert at 4:12 am that a subject had thrown an incendiary device at a home in the North Beach neighborhood, which caused the exterior door to catch fire.
The suspect fled on foot and was detained minutes later at the OpenAI headquarters, where he made new threats in front of the building located in the 1,400 block of 3rd Street.
According to the description of the report, police officers identified the subject and detained him.
The police announced that the device caused no injuries and material damage was minimal.
So far, formal charges against the individual have not been specified nor has their identification been made known.

Kayla Wood, OpenAI spokespersonin an email sent to the WIRED portal said, “This morning, someone threw a Molotov cocktail at Sam Altman’s house and also made threats against our headquarters in San Francisco. Fortunately, no one was hurt.”
“We greatly appreciate the quick response of the San Francisco Police Department and the support of the city to ensure the safety of our employees. The individual is in custody and we are cooperating with authorities in the investigation,” Kayla Wood added.
