In his debut at the ‘indoor’ World Cups, Agate Sousa started the final with 6.73 meters and secured the triumph with 6.92 on the penultimate attempt, surpassing, in a consistent competition, still with tests at 6.82 and 6.81, the Italian Larissa Iapichino (6.87, in the last jump), European champion in indoor track, and relegating the Colombian Natalia Linares (6.80) to third place.
