STOCKHOLM / LONDON (IT BOLTWISE) – Swedish startup Epiminds has set its sights on the marketing sector with its innovative AI solution Lucy. With a seed investment of $6.6 million, the company plans to increase the efficiency of marketing agencies worldwide. The founders Elias Malm and Mo Elkhidir rely on agent-based AI that acts as a “senior colleague” and supports human creativity.

Swedish startup Epiminds recently caught the attention of the marketing industry with its innovative AI solution Lucy. Founded by Elias Malm, a former Google employee, and Mo Elkhidir, formerly of Spotify, the company has raised $6.6 million in a seed round. This investment is led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from European funds such as EWOR and Entourage.

Epiminds relies on agent-based AI that acts as a “senior colleague” and supports human creativity instead of replacing it. The core technology, an AI-powered bot called Lucy, can deploy over 20 autonomous agents to perform tasks such as analyzing advertising data, planning marketing campaigns and publishing ads. This technology allows marketers to work more efficiently and focus on strategic and creative tasks.

The founders of Epiminds emphasize that their solution is not aimed at replacing human workers, but at supporting them. Lucy is positioned as an independent third party that brings out the best for companies and agencies. Epiminds currently works with around 20 performance marketing agencies in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands and the USA. Epiminds agents can be individually tailored to an agency’s strategy and needs.

Another advantage of Epiminds’ approach is the use of existing LLM models from Google and OpenAI, combined with a proprietary framework for processing large amounts of data. This combination makes it possible to significantly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing campaigns. The founders plan to use the recent funding to expand the team and expand into more markets. While automating marketing processes is not new, Epiminds stands out from the competition with its agent-based approach and integration of AI technologies.
