Blaya debuts ‘ARRAIÁ.L’ tour in Lisbon with cultural fusion between Portugal and Brazil

Born in Fortaleza, Ceará, singer Blaya arrived in Portugal as a baby, just two months old, but although her Portuguese accent may indicate it, her northeastern roots were not left behind. Proof that the artist’s origins are still alive is Blaya’s new project, which, this Thursday (26), debuts “ARRAIÁ.L”, at Clube B.Leza, in São Paulo.

The show proposes a fusion between cultural references from Portugal and, especially, from the northeast of Brazil, bringing together elements of our June festivals with the Santos Populares here. Tickets are still available for sale.

According to Blaya, the bet is on a show that combines music, dance and festive aesthetics, with a repertoire focused on the encounter between these two cultures that mark his life and career trajectory. “I wanted to create something that represented my musical and cultural identity”, says the singer, highlighting that the proposal starts from a contemporary festival, with visual and sound elements inspired by popular festivals in Brazil and Portugal.

Before Blaya’s performance, the show will feature the participation of Bloco Qui Nem Jiló at the opening. Formed in Lisbon, the group is dedicated to carnival forró and presents itself as the first group of its kind created outside Brazil.

Clube B.Leza is located at Cais do Gás, 1, in the Cais do Sodré region, in the center of Lisbon. Tickets for the first performance of the Blaya festival cost €12 and are available for sale through this link.
