The head of the Chega à Câmara de Lisboa list, Bruno Mascarenhas, saved a street spread across four parishes in Lisbon for the last day of the electoral campaign. Starting at Avenidas Novas, and the starting point marked next to a hotel that allowed the reconstruction of a dilapidated building on Avenida da República, and passing through the parishes of Areeiro, Arroios and Penha de França, with a delegation of fifty supporters.
The Chega candidates for their respective parish councils were with Bruno Mascarenhas, and the reactions of the Lisbon residents they met varied, but without any incidents.
Until now, Chega’s municipal deputy, who seeks to have influence on the governance of the city of Lisbon, through an electoral victory that polls show to be difficult, or through the approval of measures, fulfilling the objective of elevating the party to the third largest municipal force in the capitaltook advantage of the last few hours to try to convince undecided voters, before the campaign closing dinner, which will take place in a Lisbon restaurant, specializing in traditional Portuguese food.
Among those present will not be the leader of Chega, André Ventura, who ends the electoral campaign for local councils in Viana do Castelo, where deputy Eduardo Teixeira is running. – who was elected councilor in the last term, but still on the PSD lists -, showing that the party intends to invest heavily in local power throughout the country. However, the greatest chances of winning local authority presidencies will be in the Algarve, Alentejo, Ribatejo and Península de Setúbal.
