The Braga Municipal Market will host a special program to celebrate Carnival in the city. There will be five days of celebration, from February 13th to 17th, with free entry. The music will cover all styles: DJs, samba, pagode, forró and pop, with a dance floor. According to a note sent to the DN Brazil, will be “five days of rhythm, culture and conviviality, valuing the Municipal Market as a meeting and leisure space in the heart of the city”.
Not totally, there will be more than 15 varied musical attractions. Samba will be guaranteed with the groups Samba da Ria, Trio Santa Folia, Grupo Sambar and Carioca’s Samba Club, in a circle format. The pagoda is hosted by Pagode do Kevinho, Pagode do Leandro and Retro Eu Gosto, who will play classics from the 1990s and 2000s.

But there’s more: the band Baile do Rio brings Carnival rhythms; Forró das Comadres arrives with the traditional northeastern forró; Pagonejo mixes pagode with country music; and the band Obra presents the most danceable songs. To top it off, DJs Tobi, DJ Hardlight, DJ Pablu and DJ Verinha are confirmed.
The program also includes activities for the whole family, with a kids zone dedicated to children. Food and drinks will be provided by the restaurants in the market’s food court, in addition to the well-known Edna’s Boteco.
The event is organized by Mesa na Praça, in partnership with ND Eventos. It is recommended to arrive early, as capacity is limited. The party always starts at 4pm.
