A collision between two vehicles led this Friday, March 27, to the closure of the A5 motorway, at kilometer 24, in the direction of Lisbon-Cascais, near Nó de Alvide, Alcabideche, a source from the Alcabideche and Brisa Fire Department told Lusa.
According to BCR – Brisa Concessão Rodoviária, the A5 is closed at kilometer 24, in Alcabideche, in the municipality of Cascais, due to an incident, and traffic is being diverted via the Alvide Junction.
A source from the Alcabideche Volunteer Firefighters told Lusa that the interruption in traffic on the highway is due to an accident between two vehicles, declining to provide further details.
According to the same source, there are resources from the Volunteers of Alcabideche and the National Republican Guard (GNR) at the site.
According to the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), the alert for the accident was given at around 8:47 am, with 19 firefighters on site, supported by nine vehicles.
