Criolo, Dino D’Santiago and Amaro Freitas at Primavera Sound Porto 2026

Brazilian rapper Criolo is confirmed on the program for Primavera Sound Porto 2026, where he presents the project “Criolo, Amaro & Dino”, alongside Dino D’Santiago and Amaro Freitas. The show takes place on June 13th, in Porto, and marks the arrival on the Portuguese stage of the album released in January this year. Tickets for the festival are now available for sale.

The album brings together 12 tracks and proposes a musical dialogue between Brazil, Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking influences, mixing rap, MPB, jazz, morna and funaná. The partnership began in Lisbon, during a studio session that gave rise to the song Hopenominated for the 2024 Latin Grammy for Best Song in the Portuguese Language. From then on, the three artists continued working together in different cities, between Brazil and Portugal, until consolidating the project.

In an interview with Diário de Notícias and DN Brasil in 2025, when he did his last tour hereCriolo highlighted the importance of these connections built over the years with artists from Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking countries. THE rapper recalled that the relationship with Portugal began in 2013 and deepened with presentations and collaborations.

With more than three decades of career, Criolo has established himself as one of the most relevant names in contemporary Brazilian music, moving between genres and expanding the dialogue with different musical scenes. The Portuguese Dino D’Santiago has stood out in European music by crossing Cape Verdean references with urban sounds, while Amaro Freitas has gained international recognition as one of the most inventive pianists in current jazz.
