The dismissal comes after the signing, last week, of a contract under which OpenAI technology will be integrated into the United States defense system and military machinery.
This action by the US Department of War came after an impasse in negotiations with Anthropic, another company in the AI sector formed by former OpenAI employees.
After breaking ties with Anthropic, the White House launched a military operation against Iran in collaboration with Israel, in which OpenAI tools were used.
This week, Anthropic’s executive director, Dario Amodei, denounced OpenAI’s agreement with the Pentagon, classifying the rival company’s justification and guarantees as “security theater” and the marketing strategy as a lie, according to specialized media after having access to an internal circular.
