EDP, a group that is part of E-Redes, responsible for operating the distribution network in mainland Portugal, has already restored power to 100% of customers affected by the storms, the executive president announced this Thursday, February 26th.
“We have already recovered 100% of our customers, with only a few specific situations remaining that will be resolved very soon, but I think the worst is over,” said Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade, in the conference call with analysts as part of the presentation of the 2025 results.
The manager recalled that Portugal was hit by “a series of devastating storms”, which began at the end of January and lasted until February and recorded winds exceeding 200 kilometers per hour, which caused “unprecedented physical damage to the country’s infrastructure”, including the company’s electrical networks and assets.
