“As a result of this decision, and in accordance with the maximum limit set by criminal procedural law (one year and eight months in prison, in this case), the Court of first instance had, necessarily, and for the time being, to release the defendant detained preventively, subjecting him, however, to the obligation to report to the police twice a week and not to attend sports venues or any events related to the FCP”informed the Public Ministry of Porto, in a note cited by SIC Notícias.
