“In recent years, there has been a significant increase in human resources allocated to Line SNS 24, which currently has 3,200 professionals – 700 more than last year – and there are also around 500 new elements in the training process”they emphasize.
The PSD states that, last week, the existence of a study was reported in which it was admitted that, despite the aforementioned reinforcements, “This winter, around one million calls to Line SNS 24 may remain unanswered, an eventuality whose occurrence must be counteracted”.
Therefore, the PSD bench wants “official clarifications on the current operating conditions of Line SNS 24, as well as on the perspectives that the entities most directly responsible for it have on its future development”.
To this end, the PSD requested hearings, at the Health Commission, of Altice, as a telecommunications company that operates the SNS24 Line; of the Shared Services of the Ministries of Health, EPE, as the entity that manages and guarantees the operation of Line SNS 24; and the Secretary of State for Health Management, Francisco Rocha Gonçalves, “as a member of the Government under the supervision of SPMS – Shared Services of the Ministry of Health, EPE”.
