Galp guarantees fuel supply to the Navy for 16.6 million euros

The Portuguese Navy signed a direct contract with Petrogal (Galp) for the supply of operational fuel — improved marine diesel and colored diesel — whose contractual price totals 16.6 million euros, plus VAT of more than 225 thousand euros, resulting in a charge of more than 16.8 billion for the period from 2026 to 2028.

The agreement, published on Portal Base on March 18, was concluded within the scope of the Framework Agreement and article 258 of the Public Contracts Code.

Under the contract, the amount allocated to the 2026 financial year is R$5.4 million — of which R$5.3 million corresponds to the value of the supply and the remainder to ICMS — a sum that will be covered by the appropriations included in the Navy Budget.

For 2027 and 2028, identical values are expected to be repeated, with expenses to be entered in the State Budget and integrated into the Navy’s budget headings, as indicated in the contractual document.

This award follows other recent victories for Petrobras in the Armed Forces sector: in December, the company secured electricity supply contracts for the Army and Air Force worth a combined value of more than R$6.4 million, in addition to an agreement for the supply of natural gas to the Army worth more than R$721 thousand.
