The GNR is trying to locate a woman, who disappeared a week ago in Elvas, and since Friday, after receiving the alert, it has carried out searches in the municipality, a security force source told the Lusa agency.
Source from the Portalegre Territorial Command of the GNR explained that the 47-year-old woman, resident in Vila Boim, in the municipality of Elvas, district of Portalegre, disappeared on the 12th. According to Correio da Manhã, she is Iara Nascimento, sister of television presenter Cláudio Ramos.
After receiving the alert on Friday, the GNR carried out searches in dams close to that location, having also contacted the telephone operator of which the woman is a customer.
The operator reported that the equipment had not registered on the network for several days and was disconnected, added the same GNR source.
Without having yet obtained the location of the vehicle belonging to the woman, the GNR has also requested records of passages on motorways, awaiting these results.
Lusa also contacted the Alto Alentejo Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, but the same entity said it had no record of this case.
