Starting next Wednesday, October 22, the Secretary of Welfare will provide the first support of 20 thousand pesos to all homes affected by the rains in five states of the countryreported the head of this agency, Ariadna Montiel.
“Until now they are just over 75 thousand families registered and it is still missing, in some areas of Hidalgo (…) it will take another week to conclude the censuses,” reported the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum.
Meanwhile, Ariadna Montiel said that after censusing 70,445 homes in 100 municipalities of the five states affected by the rains; It was determined to grant a second support according to the level of damage that was sustained..
He explained that for homes that suffered medium damage, a second support of 25 thousand pesos will be given, for those that suffered greater damage, 40 thousand pesos will be given and 70 to those who lost their homewhile houses that are on river slopes and that are at risk will be relocated.
He said that support for commercial premises will be 50 thousand pesos, support for fields and livestock will be between 50 and 100 thousand pesos, depending on the number of hectares.
For the recovery of school supplies, $350 pesos will be given.
Ariadna Montiel reported that there will be support from 500 thousand pesos for the clinicsin addition to the insurance that is in place to cover damage to the Health infrastructure and under that same scheme 750 basic and upper secondary education schools will be supported with 200 thousand pesos, in addition to the resource covered by the insurance.
And he highlighted that 50 thousand people will be employed for four months with a minimum salary of 8,500 pesos per month for the recovery of roads.
