Live music and 360º projections will bring magic again to the Cléricos Church, in Porto. The second edition of the cycle Clérigos Immersive Concert: Spirit of Life – Sons de Primaverareturns on Thursday, 26th, and repeats on March 31st and April 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th.
Live interpretation of works such as Moonlightby Claude Debussy, Pie Jesusde Andrew Lloyd Webber, ou Swan by Camille Saint-Saëns, will join an unprecedented multimedia projection that will highlight every detail of the temple’s interior architecture, promises the production, in charge of O Cubo.
This time, in addition to the historic pipe organs of the Clérigos Church, the violin and the voice, for the first time the harp is added, through a musical program designed for an emotional and unforgettable experience.
This year, the harp elevates the experience even further, and brings us especially touching, soft and delicate compositions. It is a privilege to be able to create such a poetic acoustic and multimedia show in such an iconic monument, and the enthusiastic reception from the public in the first edition inspires us to continually innovate in this process”, says Edoardo Canessa, executive producer at OCUBO, in a statement. “The union between past and future, image and musicality, hope and rebirth, are the starting point for this sensorial journey, from a place as inspiring as the Igreja dos Clérigos”, he adds.
“More than a high-quality artistic proposal, it was essential that this cycle managed to translate, within a space of deep spiritual and patrimonial significance, values such as hope, renewal and light, which mark this central era of Christian life”, says António Tavares, Executive Director of the Irmandade dos Clérigos, saying that the objective is for this experience to reflect the message inherent to the Easter season.
Tickets for the Primavera shows, recommended for people over 12 years old, cost 23 euros.
In addition to this cycle, Clérigos have a special pogration during the Easter period. Also noteworthy is the initiative Clérigos by Nightwhich promotes climbs to the Clérigos Tower at night (last entry is at 10:30 pm), sacred music concerts.
