The Executive General Board of National Electoral Institute (INE) is working on two documents on the analysis and evaluation of the main improvements to be implemented in the Electoral Processes 2026-2027as well as proposals for legal changes for the participation of the Institute in the discussion of the electoral reformin charge of the Presidential Commission.
The institutional strategy is carried out based on the evaluation of the Concurrent Federal Electoral Process 2023-2024he Extraordinary Electoral Process of the Judicial Branch 2024-2025 and of the Ordinary Local Electoral Processes 2023-2024 and 2024-2025carried out by all the areas that make up the General Executive Board.

Also included will be the evaluations that national political parties have carried out on specific relevant topics, the feedback obtained with decentralized bodies, the exchange of experiences and analysis of best practices implemented by the parties. Local Electoral Public Bodies and proposals from the staff of the INE.
The coordination of the activities derived from the strategy will be carried out by the Executive Secretariat, through the Executive Directorate of Electoral Organization (DEOE) and the Executive Directorate of Legal Affairs (DEAJ), who will follow up on the preparation of each of the documents.
Due to the relevance of the activities, the dissemination will be carried out in two aspects: within the Institute to achieve broad and relevant participation in the construction of the proposals and towards citizens, to highlight the institutional tasks of planning, review and preparation for the 2026-2027 Electoral Processes.

A few weeks ago, the president of the INE, Guadalupe Taddeiindicated that the organization would present a technical opinion to the Presidential Commission on the diagnosis of the National Electoral System.
