TEHRAN, Iran.— This Wednesday, the Iranian government closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to the attacks carried out by Israel against Lebanon.
Iran interrupted the navigation of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz after Israel’s attack on Lebanon in which dozens of people have died, according to Iranian media.
“The passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz has been stopped after Israel’s attacks on Lebanon,” indicated the Fars agency, linked to the Revolutionary Guard.

According to the Fars agency, this morning Iran allowed two oil tankers to pass “without problems” through the Strait of Hormuz, after the establishment of the two-week ceasefire.
However, Lebanon was left out of this temporary truce agreement and in fact this Wednesday the Israeli Army launched its “largest attack” in Lebanon since the war began, which has caused “dozens” of deaths and “hundreds” of injuries, according to the Lebanese government.

In addition, Iran denounced several violations of the agreement with attacks on a refinery on the island of Lavan on its territorylocated in the Persian Gulfand also with the interception of a drone in the city of Larfor which he has promised “a firm and forceful response.”
According to the American newspaper Wall Street JournalIran would also be conditioning its participation in the negotiations this Friday in Islamabad on the ceasefire being also implemented in Lebanon.
