The Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran confirmed the two-week ceasefire agreement with the United States and Israelapproved by the new Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Mojtaba Khameneiand called the pact a “victory for Iran.”
In a statement published by the News agency MoreIran’s top security agency announced that negotiations for a permanent agreement will be held in Islamabadcapital of Pakistana mediating country that managed to stop the military escalation minutes before the US ultimatum expired.
“These negotiations will begin in Islamabad with complete distrust of the American side, and Iran will dedicate two weeks to these negotiations. This deadline can be extended by agreement of the parties,” the statement said.

Our hands are on the trigger: Iran Council
The Iranian Council warned that it maintains its defensive posture: “Our hands are on the trigger, and if the enemy makes the slightest mistake, it will respond with all its force.”

The Iranian Supreme Council called for “maintaining complete national unity” and asked that “all people, elites and political groups trust and support this process, which is under the supervision of the revolutionary leaders.”

“If the enemy’s surrender in the field becomes a decisive political achievement in the negotiations, we will celebrate together this great historic victory; otherwise, we will fight side by side in the field until all the demands of the Iranian nation are met,” the body concluded.
