He Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE), under the direction of Martí Batres Guadarrama, intensifies its attention to the communities affected by the rains in Hidalgo, Puebla, Veracruz, San Luis Potosí and Querétaro and for this, it has deployed 200 brigades that travel through different locations, offering health and humanitarian support.
With a solidarity approach, the brigade members apply vaccines against tetanus, hepatitis B, influenza and COVID-19, as well as those included in the regular schedule for children and pregnant women, within the framework of the 2025-2026 Winter Vaccination Campaign a beneficiaries and not beneficiaries.
In addition, they install modules where medical consultations, preventive assessments, medication supply, wound healing and monitoring of chronic diseases are offered. They also provide guidance on prevention measures, make referrals to second and third level hospitals, and deliver groceries to those who need it.
Among the communities served are Tuxpan, Poza Rica de Hidalgo, Álamo and Huayacocotla in Veracruz; Huauchinango and its localities in Puebla; Río Escanela, Epazotes Grandes and others in Pinal de Amoles, Querétaro; Tamazunchale, San Martín Chalchicuautla and surrounding municipalities in San Luis Potosí; as well as Huautla, Metztitlán, Tianguistengo and other towns in Hidalgo.
These actions are carried out with the collaboration of different areas of the ISSSTEincluding the Medical Directorate, state offices, regional hospitals, as well as the FOVISSSTE and SuperISSSTE.
Marti Batres reiterated the institute’s commitment to the health and well-being of the population in the face of this emergency, maintaining coordination with the Government of Mexico, led by the President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
