“It’s the effects of Russia’s war of aggression.” Drone hit a power plant in Estonia

A drone flying over Russian territory hit the chimney of a power plant in Estonia during the early hours of this Wednesday, March 25, but without causing damage to the electrical network, announced the Tallinn Internal Security Service.

The plant is located in the Auvere region, next to the Navra River, which divides Estonia from Russian territory in that area.

According to Tallinn’s Internal Security Service, the unmanned aerial device (drone) entered Estonian airspace “from Russia” without causing any injuries.

Estonian authorities did not specify whether the drone was Russian or Ukrainian.

Even so, they reported that the Ukraine launched several attacks against Russia overnight, mainly against the port of Ust-Luga in the Gulf of Finland, which borders the Estonian coast.

“These are the effects of Russia’s large-scale war of aggression,” said Homeland Security Service Director General Margo Palloson, adding that she feared such incidents would occur.
