Success has followed José Madero throughout all his projects and his role as a soloist is no exception and now he is about to offer one of the most important presentations in his career, the one at the GNP Seguros Stadium that coincides with the release of Baila Conmigo, the song that closes his most recent album, Sarajevo.
The Monterrey musician recognized that this concert represents an unprecedented personal and professional achievement.

“The achievement is playing there. I know it’s going to be the best show of my career. I know that all the people in attendance are going to go home very happy, and that, for me, is enough,” he said.

Before success: José Madero began his musical career in 1996 as the vocalist of the band PXNDX until the dissolution of the project in 2016, and then launched himself as a soloist, in addition to achieving recognition as a singer-songwriter.“Next week I go into the studio to compose what will be the new album, I don’t know where things are going to go or when it will be ready, but it will be born from introspection, so I do anticipate that there will be no guests.”
June 6 will be remembered when José Madero launched a collaboration with Mijares titled El Méndigo Father’s Day, a combo of unmatched voices and talent.
Madero explained that the concept of the show is based on an idea that is very much his: The fight to survive within the music industry. “In this business you need to bring out that wild instinct to survive. It’s a jungle, the music industry. There are beasts of all kinds and you have to bring out your own beast to move forward,” he said about the title of the concert.
This will include two stages and a larger repertoire than any of their previous tours. “We are going to perform several songs that we have never played, that are going to debut that day.
In addition, he warned that this time there will be no rush: “If we have to start earlier, we will start earlier, but it will be long.”
True to his style, Madero emphasized that the priority will not be visual production, but rather the connection with his audience. “My presentations are never designed to put more importance on the visual than on the auditory. Mine is the band playing live, the visuals only accompany. I have never been into pyrotechnics; it is not my thing,” he said.
He also criticized the current obsession surrounding the concept of sold out in the industry.
“I see that we have created a strange obsession around it. I don’t care about all that obsession. If 70,000 tickets are reached, what better, but if 30,000 are sold, I still know it will be the best presentation of my career,” he commented firmly.
Regarding his creative present, he announced that he is preparing a new album, with no release date yet. “I always draw inspiration from the worst moments. The nightmare becomes art. These songs are born from pain, and the public is not stupid, they know when a song comes from an authentic place, although this does not mean that all the songs talk about my experience,” he explained to the press.
Almost three decades into his career, José Madero recognizes that the road has not been easy. “I’ve had to live through everything: good things, bad things and very bad things. But I’m still here. It’s a war in the jungle, day after day, year after year,” he said.
With Sarajevo, inspired by a trip through the Balkans, Madero explored introspection and
catharsis. Now, with Érase una Bestia, he seeks to take that energy to its maximum expression: “My concerts are a refuge, a healthy and safe place. Seeing them there, singing, jumping, crying, is my motivation. I don’t need more than that to continue moving forward.”
The singer-songwriter is thus preparing for a show that promises to be the most ambitious of his career, a breaking point between the past and the present of an artist who, once again, decides to face his own beast.
Madero’s presentation will take place on January 24 at the GNP Seguros Stadium.
