Kevin Spacey reached a settlement with the three men who accused him of sexual harassment

American actor Kevin Spacey reached an out-of-court settlement with the three men who filed lawsuits over alleged sexual assaults.

These cases were due to be judged later this year by a higher court, but have now been suspended following the agreement.

The three men alleged that the attacks by Kevin Spacey, star of the television series House of Cardstook place between 2000 and 2013, with the 66-year-old actor denying the accusations.

Oscar winner for best actor in 2000, with his performance in the film American Beautyhad been acquitted in 2023 by a criminal court in relation to nine counts of sexual crimes against which he had been targeted.

Two of the men, who remained anonymous, who accused Spacey later appealed to a higher court, and one of them said he was “deliberately assaulted” by the actor on around 12 occasions between 2000 and 2005.

Another of the victims said he met Spacey at a workshop held at the Old Vic theater in London, where the actor was artistic director, and claims to have suffered “psychological damage and financial losses” due to the attack he suffered in 2008.

The third person attacked was Ruari Cannon, who participated in the play Sweet Bird of Youthby Tennessee Williams, at the Old Vic, in 2013, and accused Kevin Spacey of groping him at a party after opening night. The actor denied the accusation, considering it “ridiculous” and that it “never happened”.

So far, no details have been released about the agreements that Kevin Spacey reached with the three alleged victims.
