Left wins Danish elections without a majority and depends on centrists

Social Democratic Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s left-wing coalition won the Danish legislative elections with 48% of the vote, depending on centrists to achieve a majority.

With 95% of the votes counted in the vote for the new Parliament (Folketing), the Os Moderados party (center) has 7.7%, becoming decisive for the formation of a new government, given that none of the blocks on the right or left achieved a majority.

The right-wing coalition achieved 44.2% of the votes in early legislative elections, which could guarantee Mette Frederiksen a third consecutive term.
